Create A Store In Etsy

Our Etsy integration allows resellers to publish products to Etsy Stores and receive orders into their workflow. This is provided alongside the support for Shopify, users may choose to offer a mixture of each storefront. Etsy describe themselves as a global online marketplace, where people come together to make, sell, buy and collect unique items.

Create Seller Account and Store

To begin create a seller account at https://www.etsy.com/sell, you may choose to authenticate with Etsy or another provider such as Google. Etsy provide you with one shop from each seller account which requires a unique verified email address and shop name.

Choose your store language, home country and currency and then progress through the wizard by hitting the Save and Continue button. Note that the currency selected here should be the same as products you intend to publish, each store has a fixed currency and home country, although global delivery is available.

Choose a unique shop name and progress through the wizard by hitting the Save and Continue button.

Create a dummy listing so that the wizard can progress, any information that is valid is acceptable at this point, the listing can be removed once the wizard is complete. Once the listing is created created hit the Save and Continue button, then the Do this later button to continue with wizard, incurring only one listing charge.

Setup your merchant payment information, Etsy billing credit card and two factor account security guided by the wizard, hitting the buttons at the bottom at each stage to progress.

Once complete you will be taken to your store front page.

Essential Store Settings

Select the Shop Manager icon on the top row and you will be taken to a dashboard. this is the home page for shop management and monitoring and can be bookmarked to https://www.etsy.com/your/shops/me/dashboard.  Hit the Listings tab to show the dummy listing created earlier, from here it can be deleted by selecting the checkbox within the listing and hitting the Delete button.

Select the Settings icon, then Delivery settings and then Create profile. At least one manual delivery profile is required with at least one destination for deliveries to the store home country, including carrier selection, etc. The profile name is not important here however the form should be completed and saved before any products are published via the App. It is important that the original address must be set and have a valid post code or zip code. Foreign destinations can also be set to support international shipping information display on the store front.

Styling

You may customise the appearance, branding and content of the storefront to your liking with the instructions provided by Etsy at https://help.etsy.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360000338047-How-to-Set-Up-Your-Storefront?segment=selling. Marketing subscriptions are available at https://www.etsy.com/your/shops/me/your-subscription which may be lower cost than standard fees depending on usage.

Next Steps

Keep track of your store URL domain, for example www.etsy.com/uk/shop/MyShopNameUnique, this can be used to configure your store in the App and publish products in App v2, or you can allow the App to discover the domain from your Etsy logic credentials.

Setup Etsy Store

To add the store first login to the App and select Stores from the left-hand bar to show the stores setup against your account.  Hit the New Store button to show available store types.

Select Etsy from the listed stores types.

Complete the form that appears with your chosen display name.  The domain is optional, it can be entered if known, or you can leave it blank. For an example of the store domain please see the screen shot below, it should appear like www.etsy.com/shop/xxxxxxxxxxxxx or etsy.com/shop/xxxxxxxxxxxxx.  If left blank the domain will be set according to your Etsy login after the next step. Do not enter any top-level domain other than etsy.com, if your shop is fronted by another domain please ingore this.

The store will be added to the list of configured stores and selected, the new store tile will redirect to a page at Etsy.com to authorize the App to manage product listings on your behalf.  It is important to enter the Etsy credentials for the store you are setting up here if you have multiple Etsy stores and logins.

Agreeing to these terms will take you back to the App, now setup to publish products to the store.  Products can then be managed within the store and synchronised as normal for Shopify stores. |t is important not to modify published product SKUs if you want to include those items on workflow orders.

The Settings link on the store view will show the standard store settings page with the Etsy store domain that has been setup.

You will not be prompted for authentication each time you select the store, however every 90 days you will need to login to the Etsy store via the App to maintain the flow of orders and manage products with a valid token in the App. The authentication can be reset using the Reset Authentication button on the store settings page.  This is also required if the shop is renamed. Reminder notifications will be shown in the App prior to authentication token expiry.
